The Umbrella Artists...

Inspired by the construction of books and intrigued by the idea of a deeper level of meaning within their pages, I explore these possibilities through the process of deconstruction and reconstruction, the medium of collagraph prints and materials such as wax and thread. In these compositions I also draw on an analogy with ‘The book’ and the human body and suggest the vulnerability and the ephemeral nature of both.
